Park Regis by Prince is an international hotel series with a purpose to establish the world’s most thoughtful hotels. Centered around the brand’s most important asset — hotel guests — the interiors required designing an experience where ‘every guest feels like royalty’. The brief required utilising cues from local practices and flavours that help to highlight regional nuances, as well as subtle influences from Japanese craftsmanship and minimalist design principles. Custom joinery designs are cleverly refined to conceal joins, while materials such as brass and timber veneer are used to achieve a minimalist, yet sophisticated aesthetic. These elements are combined with natural finishes, textured surfaces and earthy elements to achieve the underlying intent of ‘biophilic sophistication’. The resulting public and private spaces are sophisticated, timeless and thoughtful, providing an upscale experience for discerning guests to experience the romance of a classic hotel.
