The masculine utility concept is a complimentary response to the branding of Fritzenberger and the rediscovered, robust structure of the existing site which has been iconic to the Petrie Terrace area. Recycled timbers and steel treatments have been used throughout the space to form all joinery items and to help create an environment which explores materials, fittings and fixtures designed for long lasting functionality.
Four tall standing brewing tanks take centre stage with a twenty metre steel studded bar wrapping their surround. Careful positioning and illuminations of the tanks mean that everyone can see the friendly giants and theatrics of brewing procedures onsite through the large breezy windows. The custom tables, benches, round tables and stools were designed to be a simplified expression of traditional beerfest furniture made from galvanised mild steel and solid Tasmanian Oak timber. The final result is a rejuvenated space that captures the quirky bold craft beer brand.
